Start your next conversation
What this does
Open the next conversation that is ready for you and start working in Addie.
Before you begin
- Sign in to Addie with your school email.
- Make sure you are looking for a conversation that is available now, not one marked as upcoming or locked.
Open your Home page or Conversations page
You can start from either place:
- Home shows an Up next card for the next available conversation.
- Conversations shows your full list of assigned conversations.
Open the next available conversation
Select the conversation that is ready for you.
On Home, this is usually the large Up next card.
On Conversations, look in Up next for a conversation marked:
- Not started
- In progress
Do not select conversations marked Upcoming or Coming soon. Those unlock later.
Select Start or Start conversation
What you see depends on the type of conversation:
- Some conversations show Start.
- Some show Start conversation.
- Some may offer another main option such as starting on web or call.
Begin the conversation
Addie opens the conversation and saves it as started.
Depending on the activity, you may:
- answer questions
- chat with Addie
- choose another way to continue, such as text or call
What happens next
- The conversation moves into your active work.
- If you leave before finishing, you can come back later and continue.
- After you complete a conversation, your next one may unlock right away or later.
If something looks wrong
I do not see anything in Up next
- Your counselor may not have assigned a conversation yet.
- You may have already completed everything currently available.
A conversation says Upcoming or Coming soon
- That conversation is still locked.
- It may unlock after you finish another conversation, after a delay, or when your counselor unlocks it.
I only see General Chat
- You may not have an assigned conversation available right now.
- You can still use General Chat if your school has it available.
