Open a conversation from Google Classroom

What this does

Your counselor can post a link to an Addie conversation as an assignment in Google Classroom. Open that link to go straight to the conversation in Addie.

Before you begin

  • The conversation must already be assigned to you in Addie — the Classroom link alone doesn't assign it to you.
  • You need your Addie sign-in — your school email, or Google sign-in if your school has it on.

Open the assignment in Google Classroom

Find the assignment in your class Stream in Google Classroom and select the Addie link on it.

Sign in if asked

  • If you're already signed in to Addie, the link takes you straight into the conversation.
  • If you're signed out, Addie takes you to sign in first. Enter your school email and follow the sign-in link Addie emails you, or use Continue with Google if it's offered. After you sign in, Addie takes you directly to that conversation, not your home page.

What happens next

  • You land in the conversation and can start or continue it as usual.

If something looks wrong

I see "Conversation Not Found"

  • The conversation hasn't been assigned to you in Addie yet, even though it's posted in your Classroom class. Contact your counselor.

I see "Account Not Found" when signing in

  • The email you used to sign in isn't registered in Addie. Try the school email your counselor used to set up your account, or contact your counselor.
  • Sign in for the first time
  • Sign in with Google
