Use My Notes

What this does

Use My Notes to keep personal notes in Addie.

Before you begin

  • Sign in to Addie.
  • Open My Notes from the left sidebar.

Open My Notes

Select My Notes from the sidebar.

Create a note

Select Create Note.

Addie creates a new blank note for you.

Add a title and write your note

Type a note title and add your content.

You can use basic formatting such as:

  • bold
  • italic
  • underline
  • strikethrough
  • headings
  • lists
  • quotes

Or press the microphone icon to talk instead of typing

Select the microphone icon in the toolbar to turn on transcription. Speak, and your words are typed into the note for you.

Select the microphone icon again to turn transcription off and go back to typing.

Let Addie save your note

Your note saves automatically while you type.

You may see Saving... while your latest changes are being saved.

Find an older note later

Use the search box to search by note title or note content.

Open, update, or delete a note

Select any note in the list to open it again.

From there, you can:

  • keep editing it
  • revert unsaved changes
  • delete it

What happens next

  • Your notes stay in My Notes for later.
  • Notes you save from chatting with Addie may also appear here.
  • Notes created from chat are labeled From conversation.

If something looks wrong

I do not see any notes yet

  • Select Create Note to make your first note.

My note says Untitled Note

  • Add a title and it will save automatically.

I cannot find an older note

  • Use the search box.
  • Check whether it was saved from a conversation or created by you directly.

Transcription is not picking up my voice

  • Check that your browser or device has given Addie microphone permission.
  • Select the microphone icon again to make sure transcription is turned on.
  • Use My Files
  • Chat with Addie
  • Use your voice with Addie
  • Save counselor notes (a separate, counselor-only feature — see the counselor guide)
